What was Hebrew school like when you were a kid? Boring? Confusing? For many of us, religious school meant memorizing just enough to get through our Bar or Bat Mitzvah, without knowing exactly what we were learning or why. We can do better. We are very proud of our comprehensive curriculum that embraces the best of formal and informal education practice. Every child has unique learning needs and we welcome the opportunity to fulfill our communal obligation to educate our young people. Jewish education should be fun and it should help our children live meaningful and moral lives. Our curriculum from the Institute of Southern Jewish Life (ISJL) is designed for small southern congregations. It will teach our children the tenets of our faith while taking into account the unique nature of Judaism in a small community in the south.
